About Us

The Golf Club Great Britain provides a worldwide recognised Golf handicap card and certificate. Originally formed in 1986 to meet the needs of golfers who were not members of a private golf club but wanted a properly monitored handicap. Our membership rates start from only £8.99

The Golf Club Great Britain provides facilities where you can check your golf handicap not only for your self satisfaction but to open the opportunities to play at courses throughout the UK and abroad.  You can submit as many cards as you like and track your handicap online as well as entering our monthly golf days and meeting other golfers of all standards.

Unlike many other online handicaps now available, our handicap is accepted at most of the top courses in the UK including the Old Course at St. Andrews.

For anyone new to golf, your handicap card is essential, and lets other golfers know your level of ability. More and more courses in the great golfing destinations such Spain,Portugal, Turkey and Morocco are demanding to see a proper handicap card. Our handicapping scheme calculates handicaps in the same way as a  private club, which enables fair competition between all golfers.

As well as our handicapping scheme, we run regular monthly golf days with an annual Order of Merit, weekends away plus overseas  trips to destinations including Turkey, Cyprus, Spain, Morocco and South Africa.

Gold Members receive automatic 3rd party public liability insurance up to £10,000,000 and includes cover worldwide for up to 120 days as the well as the UK plus great discounts with GolfGuard, Golf Escapes and Golfbreaks.com
